Pokemon Of The Day!

                                                                                                                      It's Piplup! 

The Penguin is a cute, softie Pokemon but can hit hard at the same time. I would say it's a very proud, peppy kind of Pokemon. In the anime, Pokemon DP: Sinnoh League Victors, Piplup stars as Dawn's partner. It knows peck, bubble beam, whirlpool and the all powerful hydro pump. This is a very rare Piplup because most Piplup's do not accept food from humans but this one actually has an huge appetite.

Piplup can only be found in Diamond, Pearl or Platinum at level 5. There is only one way of getting it if you are not planning to trade is by getting Piplup as a starter Pokemon. It starts of with pound and growl but then learns bubble, a decent water type move fairly easy at level 8. Then at level 15, it learns peck which will cover off grass Pokemon leaving only electric type Pokemon that will have the clear advantage. After a level, it evolves into Prinplup and learns metal claw which will be it's only metal type move that it learns without using HM's or TM's. Then finally at level 22, it learns it's main move, bubble beam. I'd have to say that.... PIPLUP ROCKS! It is slow but it's high attack, special attack, HP, defense and special defense really gives it great potential of being your starter Pokemon.

I'd would give it 4 and half stars because of how well  it can do in battle and how it only has 2 weaknesses, grass and electric! Plus, it can learn flying type moves as well (because it is a bird... DUH) that will help dealing with grass types :D But when it evolves to its final evolutionary form, Empoleon it its now weak to electric, ground and fighting type moves. Also, when Empoleon is hit with a normal, rock, ghost, dragon, dark, flying, psychic, bug or water type moves do only half the damage! Also, ice and steel type moves hit it with one forth of the damage it would have done. AWESOME! Poison type attacks have completely NO affect against it either! This is due to Emoleon's second type. When it evolves, it is no longer a water type Pokemon, it turns into a water, steel Pokemon! 4 and half stars, just turned into 5! The penguin is a friendly starter for new trainer and is ready to battle!
